New York City.

So, I thought I would start this blog with a posting about New York City.
It's where I currently live. I've been here for about 3.5 years.
I struggle with it everyday.
Things I love about it...the energy, the pride, the West Village, the vast options of great food.
Things I don't love...
Well, I am still figuring that out.

I moved to Manhattan from Los Angeles in December 2006.
I came to NY to open a small business...a dream I'd had for a long long time.
Living in Los Angeles, in my twenties...was, hmm, how to describe it....it was phenom.
I had an amazing time. I will always look back with fond champagne filled memories.
I worked in a great industry that was booming, I got to work alongside amazing people..meet talented actors, designers, musicians...and I made some great lifelong friends (quick shout out, TH, KU, DS, MM, AM, CR, LN).

After many years there, I wanted to see something different, experience something new.
LA had filled me up with so many positive things...I wanted more, new and different things.
And besides, keeping up with being blonde, tan, and super skinny was EXhausting!!....haha.

I had come to NY, several times, for business over the years I lived in LA.
Everytime I left the city ..after a full trip...I thought the same thing...what an amazing place to fall in love.
I dreamed of meeting "the guy" and falling in love in New York City.
I thought it was romantic..walking through the quaint streets...holding hands, drinking coffee ...it seemed like an ideal place for new love.

I moved to NYC, to open a small jewelry shoppe with a business partner.
It was SO exciting.

That was 3 and a half years ago.
So much has changed....
More on life and love in future blogs...
Stay tuned.
